1st Amendment
The Basic Freedoms of American Citizens Ex. (Freedom of Press, Petition, Religion, Speech, and Assemble Peacefully)
2nd Amendment
The Right to Bear Arms means having the right to carry any Arms (guns, knives, any weapon) for their safety and protection.
3rd Amendment
Quartering of Soldiers means you have the right to tell the American Troops they can't stay over at your house without your permission. So they can't just knock on your door and expect you to let them stay over.
4th Amendment
The right to Searches and Seizures. Which means the police needs to have warrant/permission from the government to search you or you property.
5th Amendment
Have you ever heard on Cop shows when the bad guys say "I plead the Fifth" pleading the fifth mean you have the right to remain silent. When cops are about to arrest you that's what they say "You have the right to remain silent because everything you say will be held against you".
6th Amendment
6th Amendment means the person charged as guilty has the right to a lawyer and the punishment needs to be decided by the jury. He/ She has the right to know why they are being charged or sued.
7th Amendment
Is the right to Civil Trials which means a trial by jury. This happens if you haven't done anything worth more than 20$
8th Amendment
Bail and Punishment, Bail means to get out of trouble or jail and punishment is the consequence to what you did. The 8th amendment is your freedom from cruel and unusual punishments.
9th Amendment
Rights retained by people, basically its giving you rights that arent in the Constitution so like the right to marry who you want and work where you want to work.
10th Amendment
The 10th Amendment states the basic Rights
